Where is Jenn Querying This Tuesday?

I’m trying to find “better” paying gigs than what I’ve been settling for so far this summer. While I’ve brought in a decent supplemental income, it’s time for me to focus on doing better. Particularly now that back to school shopping, the heating season, and Christmas shopping (and birthday shopping, and home renovations, and . . . and . . . and) are upon us.
It’s time to buckle down and do better. Here are my targets for today:
· Writer/Blogger Wanted : I queried the real estate, green living, and gardening topics. I like the fact that the poster is requesting rates, so I’m not settling when it comes to hitting this target.
· Bloggers Wanted : I’m querying the green living and education topics because I have experience writing for both and they’re still extremely high on my lists of writing interests.
I’m going to start with these leads, and look for more throughout the day. If I find more to query, I’ll create another post to add to this one. If you notice, I’m following these criteria with my queries:
· The leads follow my specific areas of interest, as will future queries (my interests are many, so this shouldn’t stifle lead generation).
· I’m looking how pay versus time spent on the gig. If it spans longer than the amount of time I have available (or if it takes two hours to do a $5 gig), I’m moving on to the next lead.
Sometimes we need to shift things around a bit and really take a hard look at our freelance writing careers in order to work our way up . . . rather than stumble, and fall into a rut. How often to you re-assess, and re-evaluate what you’re freelance writing career is doing?
