Influences: Staying Positive
July 30th 2008 17:13
There are days when I’m feeling incredibly inspired and like there’s nothing that can stand in the way of achieving my goals. However, there are other days when I feel like everything is standing in my way and I’m not going to achieve anything. It’s a quandary, but common among freelancers.
What do I do to solve this problem?
I look for positive influences. I have to say that, ever since joining plurk.com, I have found many positive influences on that website. Not only am I able to create a “virtual office environment,” I’m able to follow their work-related progress (or, share a cup of coffee or tea) throughout the day.
As someone else mentioned so eloquently, it’s the perfect way to break up a very lonely work day. Today is a good example of needing positive influences. I have found that, once I really buckled down and made some goals based on the posts made by these positive individuals, my goals for the day are being achieved.
How do you solve these kinds of problems?

Seeing others being productive, or even having a bad day makes me want to get into my own projects too.
It's a fantastic environment.
