Freelance Career: Querying
April 27th 2008 22:14
Querying is the bread and butter of any successful freelance writing career. As soon as you learn this, the sooner you'll be working regularly.
I send between fifteen and thirty query letters out on a weekly basis in order to keep the work flow where I need it to be. However, I'm not usually pitching to publishers or magazine editors. If so, it would likely be one query per week. Instead, I query leads found on job boards like:

Freelance Writing Gigs

How many query letters do you send out weekly? Do you pitch to magazines? Do you pitch to job board leads?
