I’m having trouble with focus today. As you will notice from this blog post, it is a perfect example of what I’m going through.
Yes, my trouble today is with focus. Not on what I need to do, because that’s VERY clear with the many and enormous to-do lists I keep all over my desk and on my tack board. I love lists, but that’s another blog post for another day. Anyway, I can’t seem to stay focused on one task.
· I have many articles to write today.
· I have to work on my book A LOT today.
· I have to solicit more quotes and anecdotes today.
· I have errands to run today.
· I have to take care of my sick little person today.
· I have to send follow-ups to two editors today.
This is my short list. It’s, of course, broken down into many bullet points, arrows, side-notes, highlighted reminders and “house-related” to-do extensions. I love lists. Wait. That’s another blog post for another day! Focus, Jenn, focus!! What the heck? How did this blog post that was supposed to be about staying focused end up being about lists WITH a list.
I need to get some focus, people.
