Break the Block: Tip #20
September 21st 2008 20:15
Follow this prompt to help break or prevent writer’s block. Use your word processor, your blog, or handwrite this out. Remember that whatever works best for you will yield the best results.
Turn on your radio, if it is not already on. What is playing? Is it a song? Radio commentary? Or is it a commercial of some kind. Describe what you hear in 100 words. Is it something you like to hear, or is it annoying? Describe why or why not in 100 words. What would you have liked to hear when turning on the radio? Describe that in 100 words. If you’re in a room with no radio, describe why there isn’t one in there in 300 words.
If you feel you can write more than what is outlined here, feel free to do so. If you feel the need to write less, consider writing about why you wish to do so in order to keep your pen moving and your mind working.
