August Already?

I have absolutely no idea where July went, but it is time to accept August is now upon us. What does the first of the month mean for freelancers?
For this freelancer, it means:
· Sending out invoices for last month’s work.
· Starting some new gigs.
· Continuing with current gigs.
· Lining up more work to keep August’s flow as steady as July’s.
· Starting new homework routines with the kids.
As you can see, some of it is some of the first of the month involves freelance work and some of it encompasses my personal life. My personal life is weaved tightly into my career, so that is the way it is for this freelancer.
What is the first of the month like for you? Do you feel pressure to start this month better than last month or is it a go with the flow kind of thing?

I also do my goal workshop the first Saturday of each month so it's time to do that. The goal workshop is all about evaluating how I progressed toward my goals in the prior month, seeing if those goals are still my priorities, determining the steps toward them that I can take in the coming month, and reviving my passion for those goals. It's a fantastic way to monitor progress and reinspire motivation.
Other than that, it's more of the same. Some gigs, looking for more gigs, working on my own sites and blogs, and pulling together time for my novel writing too. All that alongside the family life.
